About The Keller Working Moms Meetup
As a work-outside-the-home mom with two young children, I need some time for "me". There are lots of groups out there, but most of them focus on day activities and supporting the stay-at-home mom. I'd like for this group to focus on support for the outside-job working mom, as well as provide opportunities to engage the family. Activities include mom-centered activities in the evenings for us to relax and planned family activities on the weekends. This will be a great support network, as well as a forum to find life-long friends for our moms, dads, and kids!
We have members in their 20s, 30s, and 40s and children from babies to teenagers. We have 8-to-5ers, WAHMs and SAHMs, teachers, students, telecommuters, and all else in between. It's a great mix of women with a variety of interests - I hope you will find us to be a welcoming, fun, and supportive group!
Our activities include:
- Mom's Nights Out/In - movies, games, coffee, dessert, drinks, having a great time!
- Weekday Lunch Meetups to take a work break with friends
- Family Park/Pool/Play Activities on the weekends
- Couples Night Out - check out our event at The Melting Pot on July 12th!
- Community events - e.g. KellerFest, Grapefest, etc.
- Family BBQs - and so much more to be planned!
SUMMER WEEKDAY ACTIVITIES for our moms with flexible schedules this summer!There is a $5 PER YEAR membership fee and, depending on the activity, there may be an additional fee, but these will all be noted with each event.
Although I'm really looking forward to meeting some great friends, I am devoted to my family and will probably only spend a few nights a month actually at activities. So, for those other moms who just need a little bit of "me" time, please join in when you can. For others who need lots of activities, there are lots of planned things for you to participate in too! I strongly encourage members to host events by just letting me know the details so I can get the information to the group.
I want everyone to get the most out of the group - if there is anything I can do to enhance the website, activities, communication, or other details, please do not hesitate to let me know!
